I Hope - A Prayer of Remembrance

Dear Princess,

I hope you never forget this day
When you felt love so deeply
She materialised before you
Deep resounding laughter
Never-ending inside jokes
From a full heart with tenderness
You are cautious in handling with care

I hope this day is etched in memory 
When you remember, morning did come
Not because you were rescued
But joy overflowed from within the valley
Despite the deep darkness
Still, light remained in your heart
From unknown to unknown
You moved from praise to praise

I hope you testify of this day
When you are on the mountaintop
Faith is a breeze
Remember this turning point
Before which you contended for your faith
From sitting with patience
You found peace

I’m trading my sorrows. I’ trading my pain. I’m laying them down for the joy of the Lord.

“Can a woman forget her nursing child, And not have compassion on the son of her womb? Surely they may forget, Yet I will not forget you. See, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands; Your walls are continually before Me” Isaiah 49:15-16

Dearest reader, I have nothing much to say but thank you for opening my letters and contemplating alongside me using Spirit-filled poetry. The summer was very long for me, and I am still trusting in the Lord to provide.

As a result of the season, I am taking a break from this account until I have space to return.
